Welcome to Slavonia...

When my super-talented uncle Sem sent me the evocative picture that is now on the cover (thanks!!!), what immediately formed in my mind was an album of vocal synth songs. Musically, I never had any doubt about it, all I had to do was follow what the image suggested.

When I started writing the lyrics, though, I realized that the words that were coming out of my pen were not exactly what I expected...
For the past two or three years I've been observing the human societies and the way different layers of rights and privileges are developing in so many nations, with ever growing gaps between the various tiers.
This is due to corrupt politicians and the greed of the rich. Both categories, often as accomplices, aim at having the complete control of the more and more apathetic world population.
People seem to be completely oblivious to this and are slowly losing all their rights to the powerful and the greedy.
These thoughts have been forming in my mind for so long that they came out in the form of lyrics about an imaginary nation called Slavonia (pronounced slave-onia...) representing all the countries that are undergoing this process because of the corrupted souls of the few in power.
Is it still possible to stop whatever is in motion now? I don’t know. I honestly don’t know.

Quando mio zio Sem, dall'enorme talento, mi mandò l'evocativa immagine che è ora sulla copertina (grazie!!!), quello che mi si formò immediatamente nella mente fu un album di canzoni synth vocali. Musicalmente non ho mai avuto alcun dubbio, tutto quello che dovevo fare era seguire quello che l'immagine suggeriva.

Quando iniziai a scrivere i testi, però, mi resi conto che le parole che mi uscivano dalla penna non erano esattamente quello che mi aspettavo...
Durante gli ultimi due o tre anni ho osservato le società umane e il modo in cui diversi livelli di diritti e privilegi si stanno sviluppando in varie nazioni, con una divisione sempre più ampia fra i diversi strati.
Questo è dovuto ai politici corrotti e all'ingordigia dei ricchi. Le due categorie, spesso come complici, puntano al completo controllo della popolazione mondiale sempre più apatica.
La gente sembra non rendersene minimamente conto e tutti stanno lentamente perdendo i loro diritti a vantaggio dei potenti e degli avidi.
Questi pensieri si stanno formando da così tanto nella mia mente che sono usciti sotto forma di testi su una nazione immaginaria chiamata Slavonia (dall'inglese "slave", schiavo), la quale rappresenta tutte le nazioni che stanno subendo questo processo per via delle anime corrotte dei pochi al potere.
E' ancora possibile fermare qualsiasi cosa sia in moto ora?
Non lo so. Onestamente, non lo so.
