Why do we fight? Why do we say all those nasty things? What do we feel? Why don’t we just say what we feel? Our egos are always in our way It’s our fears that make us fight Why don’t you just talk? Why don’t you open to my soul? Why don’t we use this gift we were given and turn our souls into words that we can understand? What do we think? We can’t find peace within such hate The words you say are the only way to understand you Whatever you’re trying to defend, are you sure I want to attack? Why can’t we just merge through the words that we can use and learn about each other? You can’t hate what you know! Just give your words to me and who cares who’s right or wrong... ---------- MEANING: Fights only happen when there is lack of communication, or when an error in communication occurs. If we just open ourselves, explain our reasons with the sole purpose of understanding each other, if we listen to the other person’s reasons without judging, but only trying to truly understand their reasons, there can’t be any conflict. It might not be an easy process, but if our intentions are honest and what we really want is peace, then we can get it. We just have to learn to use words, this wonderful gift we have been given. However, way too often people just use it to hurt, as opposed to trying to understand each other. I feel very sad when I see that most people are still trapped by their egos in trying to prove they are “right” and the others are “wrong,” like hysterical children only driven by their fears and insecurity. Being right or being wrong is totally irrelevant, we should only focus on finding solutions, and peace. That is all that counts. Don’t attack, don’t hurt, use the gift of speech to explain what you think and feel, and listen carefully and open-mindedly when others do the same. God, the Universe, Evolution or whatever you believe in have given us this gift so we can touch one another’s soul and become one. Don’t be afraid to be hurt. Don’t use this gift to hurt: if you do, you will be spitting on it and on the Entity that gave it to you.

What's an empty bicycle path got to do with some vocal, more or less 80's-sounding music? I don't know and I couldn't explain, but then that's what happens every time my uncle and personal photography teacher Domenico "Sem" Semeraro sends me one of his photos and says "this is for one of your albums". I look at it and it instantly turns into music in my head. Every time I know exactly what I have to do, what music I will record, and every time it's an amazing journey, guided by his incredible pictures.
