CLASSIC EM series - vol 55

This album, too, was inspired and guided by my Uncle Sem's formidable cover image, which somehow made me think of some crazy experiment about energy.
That merged with the contradictory feelings generated by my recent discovery - via the internet - of some Russian TV series and music. While their culture and lifestyle are not terribly different from those of Italy or other nearby countries, they are also totally alien in many ways.
The language is very fascinating, too.
All these stimuli mixed with the emotions Sem's wonderful image
gave me, and this album is the result.
The title track and the album's title were also inspired by a video a friend sent me (thank you, Nat!) about an aborted Russian space shuttle project. The shuttle is an amazing sight, but it's its booster that struck me deeply. This rocket stands in its abandoned factory and it's a truly awe-inspiring object, a giant in a rusty prison. Its name is "Energiya - M," hence the album's title.
