Genre: instrumental, various

(Italiano più sotto)

When - at the end of 2012 - I decided to get more serious about photography and felt I needed some guidance, my uncle Domenico "Sem" Semeraro was an obvious choice. Actually, his amazing talent was what made me want to learn to express myself through this medium. His stern and patient teachings mostly come via email (we don't live in the same town) in the form of criticism and suggestions regarding the photos I send him. However, the best part for me has always been when we go around to take pictures together, which makes me feel extremely well. One of the first places we visited was an abandoned factory. When I went home that night I had a bunch of very crappy absolute-beginner photos and a piece of music that the factory had generated in my head and that I recorded. He made a video for it with the pictures he had taken. That gave me an idea: we could visit all the abandoned factories in our area and every time I would compose a piece in my head (while practicing my photography), which would then be accompanied by his awesome photos to finally become an itinerant exhibit. That idea was eventually aborted, so no more factories, but I kept creating tracks in my mind wherever we went, and this album collects the results, recorded over a period of three years. This is just volume one, as hopefully more will follow, as long as Unc will have the patience to drag me around ;-)

(Italiano)
